Education Foundation 101
Did you know that the Dripping Springs Education Foundation provides funding to all Dripping Springs Campuses and is the ONLY organization allowed to fundraise for additional salaries not provided by the state?
When you make a donation to DSEF your dollars stay here in our schools, and do not get deferred elsewhere. Your 100% tax deductible donation benefits the following programs that are both life-changing and life-saving for the students at Dripping Springs:
Mental Health Initiative — MHI provides salaries for 3 Licensed Mental Health Professionals serving all students and a designated Counselor for ALL staff across all DSISD campuses providing social emotional learning skills, counseling, interventions, and mental wellness support.
Innovative Teaching Grants — Our incredibly talented educators are encouraged to apply for grant funding from the Foundation to make their teaching dreams come to life!
Student Leadership Grants — All of our students are also encouraged to think creatively and apply for funding to solve a problem or create a new opportunity at their schools.
Founded in 1992 by volunteers, the Dripping Springs Education Foundation raises private-sector funds to support academic goals and achievement at every school in our district. We do this largely through awarding teacher grants for classroom enrichment, teaching innovations, and continuing education.
The Foundation’s mission now includes establishing a reliable private-funding mechanism that will help our school district bridge the gap and maintain academic competitiveness – regardless of state funding levels. These measures will help cover expenses ordinarily paid for by state dollars. Our objective is to restore district funding levels in order to keep excellence and academic competitiveness in Dripping Springs schools.
We seek financial contributions from DSISD families, the community at large and corporate donors to fulfill this mission. As an independent 501(c) 3 non-profit, the Foundation provides accountability to its donors for the dollars raised.
Join DSEF and YOU can be all in!
